A large residential development including social housing featuring timber-framed townhouses and apartments.
Working with Tod Timber Engineering and McTaggart Group, we have delivered timber engineering design services on this large residential development, forming part of a wider regeneration programme in the east end of Glasgow.
The accommodation was formed in timber kit, including timber frame walls, engineered joists and timber trussed rafters. The apartments included with masonry/concrete stair cores.
The scheme provided much needed social housing and consisted of three-storey townhouses, and four-storey apartment blocks. The buildings are arranged around a courtyard area offering public and private outdoor spaces for residents, with a play area and community garden.
