Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow

Client - Glasgow Life

Provision of a new velodrome lighting scheme ahead of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.

Glasgow’s Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome – Scotland’s first indoor velodrome – were built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Ahead of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, we were appointed by Glasgow Life and City Building to provide electrical design services for a new lighting scheme within the velodrome.

Our services included surveying the existing system, and developing a new lighting scheme in coordination with the lighting manufacturer 'Signify'. We worked closely with City Building to develop a creative and sustainable solution, recycling elements of the existing system to simplify the project saving time and money.
