Ingleby Barwick Leisure Facility, Stockton

Value - £10m | Client - Ellis Williams Architects

A new state-of-the-art development incorporating sports and leisure facilities and community space.

Opened in summer 2020, this new £10m facility for Stockton Borough Council, is a 40,000sqft state-of-the-art community leisure and learning facility.

The scheme incorporates two swimming pools, a fitness centre, three exercise studios, a community library, multi-purpose hall, and associated changing, office and atrium spaces.

Our appointment included engineering services for mechanical, electrical, lift, public health and ICT services along with Part L compliance and renewable energy reporting, to inform design team requirements. The project included the production of a fully co-ordinated Revit model to BIM Level 2.

The scheme benefits from a combined heat and power scheme supported by boilers and utilises energy efficient measures throughout.
