Hounslow House, London

Value - £60m | Client - Bouygues UK Ltd

A striking new civic building on a landmark site in Hounslow town centre, providing a new bespoke workspace and community facilities.

We were appointed by Bouygues UK to provide civil and structural engineering services on this new civic building for the London Borough of Hounslow.

Situated on a landmark site in Hounslow town centre, the new eco-friendly, carbon neutral building comprises 150,000sqft office space for council staff with a new council chamber, and public spaces including a library, registry office, café and one-stop shop for council services.

Designed using BIM Level 3, with a BREEAM Excellent rating, the scheme comprised a basement with seven floors above, a terrace amenity space on the fifth floor and a plant on two levels.  We provided the design services for the main reinforced concrete frame and contiguous piled wall basement as well as the below ground drainage and external hardstanding works.

The stunning new building is incredibly energy efficient, and offers a comfortable and agile work environment that supports modern ways of working and staff wellbeing.
