Our team includes chartered civil and structural engineers experienced in heritage engineering and a Conservation Accredited Engineer under the CARE scheme.
The Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE) has been established jointly by the ICE and IStructE to assist clients select highly-skilled engineers with proven conservation experience, assessed through a rigorous approval process. CARE is endorsed by the UK Government Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and recognised by Historic England, Historic Scotland, Cadw, the Northern Ireland Department for Communities - Historic Environment Division, and works in partnership with several architectural and surveying professional bodies including AABC, RIBA, RICS, and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
Our CARE accredited engineer Claudio Corallo leads our input in this specialist sector, and has assisted numerous private clients, estate managers, ecclesiastical and secular institutions, and also public bodies in conserving and enhancing the heritage significance of their historic assets, and also imaginatively transforming these to respond to current and future needs.
Throughout his career, Claudio has led transformative projects to some of the most prominent historic buildings in the country, including Westminster Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral, and his projects having been shortlisted, commended, and won RIBA, RICS, AJ, Civic Trust and AABC awards.
Our heritage engineering team approaches our projects with a pragmatic, hands-on and holistic approach, providing guidance and assistance to our clients based on our experience in successfully strategising, planning, and delivering heritage projects to the highest quality.
