Our specialist services:

Decarbonisation

We are committed to supporting our clients, from local authorities, private property owners and registered providers, to developers and investors, to achieve their decarbonisation and ESG targets. We do this by reviewing existing properties such as public buildings, educational property estates and housing stock or working as a project design team member to achieve aspirations, local and UK Government targets.

Decarbonisation is the reduction of carbon intensity and lowering the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced by burning fossil fuels and reducing dioxide emissions by using low carbon power sources.

The building sector accounts for approximately 38% of all energy and process-related carbon emissions worldwide.

To achieve the UK Government’s 2050 net zero targets there is a requirement to review all existing public building stock, in order to identify how carbon intensity can be reduced.

Decarbonising buildings, whether existing or new projects, requires changes to the way we look at our homes, offices, schools, etc and the way that we live and work in them.

We offer advice and expertise to support our clients in achieving their decarbonisation targets by conducting feasibility studies and preparing and contributing to decarbonisation strategies for property estates and new projects.

How we support our clients:

  • See the opportunity to change

  • Achieve an accurate footprint

  • Select the right solution to achieve set goals

  • Collaborate and partner

How we do this:

  • Discuss and understand the client’s aspirations.

  • Audit existing systems and provide advice on switching to cleaner fuel options, and improving the efficiency of existing systems.

  • Offering forward-thinking and advice on current targets set and how to plan and achieve them i.e. options for no more fossil fuel boiler sales after 2025, etc.

  • Identifying best-fit solutions, which could involve incorporating consultants, technology and industry experiences.
