University of East Anglia
Client - University of East Anglia
A diverse range of schemes for the University of East Anglia via their engineering consultancy framework.
We have provided engineering services continuously at the University for over 10 years, and are currently engaged on their engineering consultancy framework.
This long-term relationship has helped us not only understand the buildings, but also the way in which this complex body, with all its various stakeholders, operates and feed into the design and maintenance process.
We have worked on a diverse range of projects at the UEA, demonstrating our adaptability and resourcefulness. We react quickly and provide services to strict time scales to meet small windows of opportunity for construction work.
A significant project via the framework was the refurbishment scheme to preserve and rejuvenate the 1960’s Listed Ziggurats concrete structures at the UEA Campus, where we offered forensic structural engineering advice.
Other projects for the university include a £6m refurbishment of the Grade Two Listed Earlham Hall, a £1m extension to the School of Music, and a £5m refurbishment of the Lecture Theatre.
Testimonial:
“Clancy was commissioned as forensic structural engineers on the concrete preservation project. Clancy was an integral part of the team and helped deliver the five-year plan to repair and preserve the Listed concrete structures at the University of East Anglia.”
