A new net zero carbon primary school for Star Academies.

Construction of a new one-form entry primary school and nursery, with space for 236 pupils, including 16 SEND places.

The highly energy-efficient, two-storey school will incorporate external facilities including a MUGA, play areas and car parking, along with a dedicated entrance/drop-off area for children with special education needs and disabilities.

Designed by Bowker Sadler Architecture, Seven Stars will be one of the first 50 net zero carbon schools to be delivered by the Department of Education and will be incredibly energy efficient, utilising photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps and natural ventilation.

We are providing geoenvironmental, civil, structural and building services engineering design to Conlon Construction, who are building the school for Star Academies.

The school aims to achieve net zero in operation. We are working closely with the team to advise on the measures to be adopted in order to achieve the set sustainability and net zero carbon targets.

It is anticipated that the new school will be fully operational from September 2024.
