Clancy Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Silvester as a new MEP Divisional Director based at the Birmingham office.

With extensive experience in leading building services and managing project teams, Jeremy possesses exceptional commercial awareness of the construction industry's demanding environment. He is a member of CIBSE and holds the distinction of being a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant.

Prior to joining Clancy, Jeremy has worked for leading UK companies such as Mitie and most recently McCarthy Stone. His diverse background in the industry spans a range of sectors including retail, education, manufacturing facilities, multi-residential and office accommodation.

Scott Lydon, Director of Clancy’s Birmingham office commented, “We are really pleased to welcome Jeremy to the Midlands MEP team. He brings a wealth of contractor design experience and client-side management that will enhance our current skillset and further strengthen our operational leadership and client-facing profile in the Midlands. Currently working towards achieving his Chartered Engineer status, we look forward to supporting Jeremy in the next chapter of his career.”

In line with strategic plans for regional expansion and to support growing workloads, the Birmingham office has experienced significant growth over the past year.

As the office expands its portfolio, the team is collaborating with key market players on various projects. These include the regeneration of Gunsmith House in Birmingham’s Gun Quarter, multiple new residential developments across the city and the East Midlands, a new SEN school in Dudley, and involvement with local hospitals and NHS trusts. The team recently completed the UK's first veterans-only rehabilitation centre, Headley Court in Oswestry.

Jeremy's appointment strengthens the senior management team alongside Wendy Stanton, who became Divisional Director leading the civil and structural team a year ago, and Andy Humphries, recently promoted to MEP Associate.

Jeremy officially joined the Birmingham office on 16th August 2023.
