Role and responsibilities

  • Produce simple design calculations of various mechanical and electrical systems by hand and using calculation software.

  • Produce technical design drawings Using AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Help the team to manage the flow of information within agreed timescales.

  • Work as part of a larger team to deliver the project.

  • Check the progress of technical aspects of the construction work on site.

  • Contribute to providing solutions to design problems.

  • Ensure designs meet required standards following our Integrated Management System.

  • Keep your training log up to date and attending training/CPDs where appropriate.

  • Ensure the proper recording, filing and storage of information.

  • Follow instruction but be confident enough to ask for explanation if required.

  • Take ownership of individual tasks set by senior members of the team.

  • Show initiative and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE/N5 (or equivalent from other Exam Boards) passes at Grades of 5/B and above (including Maths and English) and preferably a Grade 6/A in Maths.

  • Have a passion for problem solving.

  • Be interested in construction, engineering, and the latest technology.
