Members of the Clancy team attended the Club Vision Night on 9th June, where club Chairman, David Smith, unveiled details of the new stand for the football club.

Working with Denham Youd Architects and Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd, we have designed this exciting and ambitious project that will involve a mix of 700 seats and terracing under cover.

The proposals also include a plush new hospitality suite with catering for 170 guests, integrated within the structure. The club's operations centre will occupy purpose-built offices within the new stand.

During the announcement, David Smith referred to Clancy Consulting saying, “They have guys working on this project who stand on that terracing every week.

"These are guys immersed in the club and we have talented people on the terraces for whom this project means the world."

He continued, “This development will allow us to grow and that is what we need to do as a club.  But we also know that we need to be able to perform while we transform, and we fully intend to do that."

Ayr Managing Drector, Graeme Mathie, said, "To have a vision is probably quite rare in football and having the ability to live it out is even harder.

"It's exciting to be part of a club that wants to walk the walk. We want to build a picture of excitement among the fans and we want this club to be ambitious. But, you need an end goal to do that.

“I'd be amazed if anyone walked away from tonight and wasn't excited by what they've seen. The fans have seen a historic moment in the lifetime of Ayr United!”

Providing civil and structural engineering consultancy services on the development, Clancy Consulting’s Director, Neil Orrock commented, “We’re thrilled to be involved with this local scheme and supporting the club as they undergo this next stage of growth. Once complete the new facilities will be a fantastic addition to the football club and their surrounding community.”

The club hopes to open their new facility in 2024.
