Jane holds firm to a fundamental principle that influences every aspect of her role as Clancy’s HR Director. It’s not companies that work with companies: rather, people work with people.
So, whether she’s advising on training or recruitment, Jane’s focus is always to help people reach their maximum potential, in whatever role they’re in. This person-centred approach disseminates across the business resulting in happier colleagues and happier clients.
Since joining Clancy’s team in 2002, after over 30 years’ experience in personnel roles, Jane has helped the Clancy team to broaden its skill set beyond each person’s technical abilities to build strong people-skills too. She helps team managers develop personal skills that motivate colleagues and build positive client relationships, and she provides mentoring and personal productivity training. Jane also oversees recruitment to ensure that people joining the firm share the company’s people-first values.
She’s most fired up about being able to help people address problems, resolve miscommunications and achieve goals.
Jane is a keen Manchester United supporter. If you ask her about her connection to the team, she can tell you how she came to be on the team’s flight to their 1990 FA Cup final match against Crystal Palace.
