Clancy’s Property & Construction Bike Ride 2019

The Clancy Property and Construction Bike Ride returned this week for its fourth year and an extremely pleasant afternoon was had by all of our 80 riders taking part. This year the ride was in aid of Sarcoma UK, for whom we’re pleased to have raised over £2,400 so far!
Clancy Consulting and clients completed either a 58-mile cycle ride or a 37-mile ride through Cheshire, the two routes included to cater for a range of abilities. Both routes started at the Frozen Mop in Mobberley with the challenging 58-mile route heading out to The Goyt Valley, with the hill climbs involved being described as ‘brutal’ by more than a few! Both routes had a well-deserved refreshment break at Sutton Hall before heading back on the home leg through the picturesque Cheshire countryside!
We are extremely pleased that the event was once again a huge success with much positive feedback received and money raised for Sarcoma UK. We chose to raise funds for Sarcoma UK this year as Clancy Director, Mike Hooper’s son, Stuart, has been going through an incredibly tough time over the last 12 months as he battles with a very aggressive Sarcoma cancer. Stuart has himself taken part in the Clancy ride in past years so it was particularly appropriate for fundraising efforts to be directed towards a charity which is leading research in to this terrible disease.
At Clancy we recognise our staff make our business what it is and they will face challenges in their personal life at times across their careers. As an organisation we aim to support them in as many ways as we can and our participation in charity events is just one of the many ways we help our staff.
You can sponsor through Virgin Money Giving, and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible.
