Clancy Working on Europe’s Tallest Modular Residential Block
Article posted on: 10th November 2016
Once complete Mapleton Crescent in London will be a 26-storey, 86-unit residential tower. Developed by the use of modular construction, whereby modular units are constructed off site and all internal finishes, M&E installations, windows and some external finishes are applied. This new build is set to be Europe’s tallest modular residential block.
The client has elected to proceed on the basis of a specialist designed modular construction and we are retained as part of the Pocket team for compliance monitoring through to completion. The use of modular construction will shave around six months off the total build time and see the project completed in summer 2018.
Clancy Consulting were responsible for the civil and structural engineering design at the pre-planning and tender stages for the tower situated at Mapleton Crescent, adjacent to the River Wandle.
We are delighted to be part of the Pocket Living team on the delivery of this prestigious project. We have worked with Pocket, who specialise in designing compact starter homes for singles and couples, on a number of previous projects including their award-winning scheme, Fermoy Road.
