Clancy targets M&E commercial fit-out with a key London appointment

Expanding into the increasingly buoyant commercial fit-out and refurbishment market, Clancy Consulting has made a strategic step due to a key appointment in their London office.

Joining the multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy as Divisional Director is Peter Mardle. A Chartered Building Services Engineer and key figure within the City’s office market, Peter will be responsible for strategic growth of the commercial sector M&E team, with particular focus on repurposing and refurbishment of existing workplace environments.

An adapting market, more so over the last year, Peter is skilled in analysing occupier requirements and subsequent design delivery to achieve highly efficient office spaces, particularly significant to ensure Covid-safe working practices are achieved. Maintaining flexible spaces for occupiers sees a demand in reconfiguring existing office spaces due to clients’ downsizing, establishing London fringe hubs for ease of employee commuting, and creating increasingly agile working environments to ensure the comfort, health and wellbeing of staff.

Peter joins Clancy following seven years at Cundall, latterly as Associate Director, where he was the MEP team leader delivering schemes such as Google 6 Pancras Square, a 400,000sqft Cat B office fit-out.

A workplace committee member of CoreNet Global UK, and active within the British Council for Offices, Peter is engaged with the office sector community in the City and fosters discussions and thought leadership around the future of the workplace.

Sukh Chana, Director of the London office at Clancy comments, “Peter joins the senior management team in our Holborn office at an exciting time as we strategically expand into the buoyant commercial refurbishment market with our Building Services Engineering offering. His expertise of working in partnership with wider multi-disciplinary teams internally, developing client relationships and delivering some major multi-stakeholder projects is the perfect balance to build upon our existing commercial portfolio and we’re thrilled to have him onboard.”
