We are delighted and extremely proud to announce that Brian Whitehead has received the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Bronze Award. Brian, Divisional Director, has worked for Clancy Consulting out of our Liverpool office for over 27 years and this award recognises his outstanding service and contribution to the region. The award was presented by Dr Kevin Kelly Vice President of CIBSE.
Joining the CIBSE Merseyside and North Wales committee in 2000, Brian has served as Regional Secretary for nine years, Vice Chair for two years and Chair for two years.
Brian has a broad background associated with both mechanical and electrical building services. He has been involved with a great variety of projects that have required modern and forward thinking in the adoption of new technologies in construction techniques to achieve targets for sustainability, energy efficiency, and occupancy comfort.
Recently Brian has provided professional services on behalf of Clancy Consulting on projects including the Liverpool Schools Investment Programme. Liverpool City Council have been delivering a number of new build and refurbishment school projects under this programme, including St Julie’s, St Margaret’s and Palmerston School.
Brian has also undertaken BREEAM Assessor services at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool for a number of years up to completion. At this time, the building was awarded with the RIBA Stirling Prize for best new building of the year.
We would like to congratulate Brian for achieving this prestigious award and recognition.
