Our Award Highlights in 2016

Article posted on: 20th December 2016

We have had a hugely successful year in 2016, being awarded many project specific and companywide awards.

A highlight was being named as an NCE Top 100 Company, being listed no. 22. We were also delighted to be named as a finalist in the Best Place to Work and Diversity Champion categories of the 2016 NCE100 Companies of the Year Awards. Another companywide achievement this year includes being named Best UK Business Performance for a Medium-Sized Firm Finalist at the ACE Consultancy and Engineering Awards.

We couldn’t be prouder of our achievements this year, which further recognise how as an employer we strive to be the best. We constantly look at how we can evolve as a business to create our employees a workplace that recognises individuality, challenge and balance. As an organisation we realise people make our business work and we are dedicated to providing a challenging and positive work environment.

We have also provided our engineering design services on a large number of award winning projects in 2016, a sample of these are highlighted below.

Earlier in the year our project Black Rock Quarry for Avon & Somerset Police won the South West regional and national RICS Design through Innovation Award, in addition to the British Motor Museum Collections Centre in Gaydon which won the West Midlands RICS Leisure & Tourism Award. Another award highlight came when Aloft Hotel in Liverpool was shortlisted for Builder and Engineer’s Restoration Project of the Year. Then in the same month our project Saltcoats Town Hall, a grade A listed refurbishment, won the Scottish Award for Quality in Planning in the Place category. Finally, and most recently Surf Snowdonia in North Wales, another multi-award winning project on which we provided our services, won the North Wales Tourism Award at the Daily Post Business Awards.
