Renewable Technologies
Renewable and Low Carbon technologies are increasingly becoming a common part of the Building Services strategy. Key drivers are Planning, BREEAM credits and increasingly, Part L.
Our Consultants have had in-depth experience of renewable and low carbon technologies being installed within projects and have knowledge of the on-site practicalities of such technologies.
Our renewable studies finds the optimum technology for each individual site; taking into account, location data, building services loads and the effects of multiple renewable technologies (Marriage of Technologies). The optimum could be based on a combination of capital cost, carbon savings, energy savings, running costs, BREEAM credits and/or maximise incentive payments (e.g. renewable heat incentive or feed in tariffs).
Typical technologies assessed include:
- Photovoltaic Panels
- Solar Thermal Heating
- Biomass Systems
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
- Air Source Heat Pumps
- Ground and Water Source Heat Pumps
- Wind Energy
- Small Hydro Systems
