Trafford College (Talbot Road Campus Refurbishment), Manchester
A £9m project at Trafford College, Talbot Road campus has recently been completed. The project involved the refurbishment and extension of the existing building to create a STEM Centre.
The project involved the refurbishment and extension of the existing building to create a STEM Centre. The building remained in occupation throughout the course of the project, which required a coherent phased approach to the works.
The Talbot Road campus is the curriculum centre for several departments and encompasses workshops for motor vehicle, engineering, gas, electrical and plumbing.
New science laboratories have been constructed and the original drama hall was remodelled into a refectory with the construction of a new kitchen facility.
The Learning Resource Centre was also subject to extensive refurbishment.
Clancy Consulting were commissioned to undertake mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the project which was procured through the North West Construction Hub.
