Ralli Quays, Salford
Ralli Quays is a mixed use landmark development, prominently located on the Salford waterside of the River Irwell, overlooking Spinningfields and Manchester city centre.
Plans have been developed for two buildings comprising a 16-storey 260-bed 16 storey 4* hotel, with roof terrace bar and a 12 storey 19,000 sq ft Grade A office building. The scheme will include the creation of river terraces and landscaped spaces, completing the New Bailey district of Salford and is being brought forward by L&G’s Investment arm, LGIM.
We have been working with L&G providing Civil and Structural, River Modelling and Geoenvironmental services on the proposed development, which involves the demolition of the existing 1990’s office building to make way for the exciting new scheme, and will incorporate exemplary sustainability credentials with reduced energy demand and renewable energy sources.
As with all our design we are reviewing the extent of embodied carbon used in the structural frame and foundations. This iterative approach throughout the design process from conception through to construction allows us to consider alternative approaches to the structural solution, minimising the extent of embodied used.
We have completed the Stage 2 design.
