3 Barrington Road is a prestigious office development situated in a prominent position in Altrincham Town Centre. The project involved the full refurbishment and significant remodelling of the existing four-storey building offering 30,000 square feet of office accommodation with undercroft car parking provision.

3 Barrington Road is a prestigious office development situated in a prominent position in Altrincham Town Centre. The project involved the full refurbishment and significant remodelling of the existing four-storey building offering 30,000 square feet of office accommodation with undercroft car parking provision.

Clancy Consulting were approached by Workman LLP who were Project Managers engaged by owner Columbia Threadneedle.

Clancy were subsequently appointed to provide Civil, Structural, MEP and GeoEnvironmental services to the project. The project involved a full CAT A refurb.

A significant driver for the project was to provide a new strikingly appealing front entrance area accessible from pavement level. This meant building a new extension fronting onto the pavement. The extension included a two storey height open atrium. Clancy designed a steelwork support frame for the new extension.

The steel framed extension was modelled using BIM (Revit) to assist with the coordination of architectural elements and building services.
