Godiva Place is set to become the development site for a new student accommodation scheme providing 772 beds for students attending higher education in Coventry.
The proposed development, delivered by Regents Godiva Limited, consists a number of residential buildings ranging from four to nine storeys, along with a full suite of facilities for residents.
Clancy Consulting advised on the MEP services for this large development. The 772 student beds will also be serviced with car and cycle parking and a social hub for residents.
The scheme is a mixed studio and cluster arrangement, enjoying 10% on site renewable contribution, high speed data and WiFi and interior designed rooms and amenity spaces.
The development, located off Lower Ford Street, Hillfields, is within easy walking distance of the university campus and city centre. The project commenced in June 2016, following the relocation of the previous occupant, manufacturing firm Norman Hay Limited, to a larger premisis in a more viable location for their business.
Stephen Howe of Clancy Consulting comments: “We are delighted to be working on this development with Regents Godiva Limited. This year alone we have already advised on the delivery of over 1,450 student accommodation beds across the UK, and over the last 10 years we have advised on over 20,000 beds. We have worked across numerous different schemes throughout the UK, all with different requirements and pressures and this has given us an edge in the delivery of student accommodation. Clients come to us with the knowledge and assurance we will recognise their specific requirements of the student experience and deliver to meet these at all stages.”
