Clancy Ranked Top Employer

Clancy Consulting are pleased to have once again been listed in the Building Good Employers Guide as one of the top 50 firms in the industry. This is the eighth time we have been featured in the guide, for which more than 180 companies registered to be considered for.
The guide lists the top construction firms with the aim of identifying the best employment practices in the sector, whilst focusing on high standards when it comes to working conditions, training and development, benefits and work-life balance.
Some of the key findings that facilitated the selection of the top companies this year are principles that we have valued over a number of years. This includes; career development, outreach initiatives and flexible working for all staff, in an effort to curb long working hours and create a well-needed balance in their lives.
Deputy Editor of Building Magazine, Chloë McCulloch commented in the introduction to the guide:
“We should recognise that they [these individual companies] are also doing a service to the wider industry by helping to change the public’s overwhelming negative perceptions of construction… and to shout loudly about the opportunities it offers young people.”
Equality is something we take very seriously as a firm. We recognise that by having a diverse workforce we can benefit from a wide and knowledgeable team. We also recognise that everyone will experience challenges in their lifetime and as a business we look to support our staff and manage each situation individually to ensure they receive the support and time needed.
We are very proud that the guide also mentions specifically our supportive approach toward employees diagnosed with autism, and our initiative to find out more about the condition and promote understanding.
Clancy CEO, Alan Bramwell, commented:
“We are thrilled to have been recognised as one of the leading employers within the construction industry. This achievement demonstrates our dedication to staff, together with our commitment to the development of our graduates and apprentices.”
