Clancy Supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2016
Article posted on: 16th March 2016
This week 14th-18th March is National Apprenticeship Week 2016. Coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, it is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and traineeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
Clancy Consulting are heavily involved in the Technician Apprenticeship Consortium (TAC). Our HR Manager, Jane Saynor, is Chair of the North West Region, and is passionate about developing apprenticeships as an alternative route to university, to give the younger age group more options and possibilities to get into engineering.
We currently employ 9 apprentices of which 4 are female. During the last 12 months Poppy, who joined as an apprentice at age 16, has achieved TMICE, and is the first TAC apprentice to gain TIStructE.
Our apprentices have all made a huge contribution to their departments and to quote a Director at our recent Business Plan and Improvement Day – “…it was one of the best decisions we ever made…”.
“…Thanks to the support which I receive from Clancy, I really feel like my career is progressing in the right direction…” Daniel Hubbleday, Building Services Technician Apprentice.
“…The great thing about an apprenticeship is the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues…” Joe Dillon, Civil Structural Trainee Technician.
Employing apprentices and our involvement with the Technician Apprenticeship Consortium has helped Clancy Consulting with recruitment, retention, productivity, succession and demographic profiles within the offices as well as helping the industry as a whole.
We are currently offering a number of apprenticeship opportunities. Please follow this link to see further details.
