Clancy Consulting Appoints First Female Board Director

Clancy Consulting, is delighted to announce that Jane Milligan has accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors.
Jane becomes the first female Board Director at Clancy and is also the first non-engineer to join the Board. Jane leads the HR function for the business, having joined in 2002 to establish the role, and also chairs the NW Region of the Technical Apprenticeship Consortium, a subject which she is particularly passionate about.
Jane commented, “The invitation came as a delightful shock. I have always felt involved in the Clancy business from the very start and my collaboration with the Board has increased over the years, so I have always felt valued and respected by them all. With our different skills we make a great team.”
Also joining the Main Board of Directors is Chris Acton. After assisting the business with it’s venture into the Middle East, Chris has now assumed a key role working with team to develop the Structural Engineering team in Altrincham.
Alan Bramwell, Chief Executive at Clancy Consulting, commented, “The appointment of Jane and Chris will add additional skills that will strengthen the capability of the Board, whilst also recognising the significant and important contribution both have made to the business over many years.
“We are pleased to have made a number of promotions from the 1st April, all from within the business, as part of the continued and development of Clancy Consulting.”
At Altrincham, Nick Riding becomes a Divisional Director. Nick has been with the business for approaching 10 years and has built the GeoEnvironmental Department up from himself to the present team, that is providing services directly to clients across the UK and jointly in support of our other core services.
In our Liverpool office, James Gendall is also promoted to a Divisional Director, in the structures team. James has been with the business for over 10 years and played a leading role in the technical advancement of the office resulting in the delivery of a number of high profile projects.
In our Building Services section in Reading, Andrew Childs becomes an Associate. Over the last 4 years, Andrew has successfully supported building the team and client base in the South East.
In the central business support team, Lucy Brown becomes Finance Director and Company Secretary, having joined the business 12 months ago as Head of Finance. Lucy will continue working with the accounts team and managing the finance function.
