Chartership with Clancy

Congratulations Lee Philbrock who has just passed his IStructE Chartership exam!
Lee is an Associate Civil, Structural Engineer in our Norwich office. He started his career as an Apprentice, completing a 5 year apprenticeship course with a design consultant in Bolton, which involved working on some iconic projects such as the London Olympic Park. Lee then went on to study Civil Engineering at the University of Suffolk where he graduated with a Frist Class BSc (Hons) and gained a research grant from The Institution of Structural Engineers for his final year project which investigated the temporary stability of steel framed structures.
Chartership has been goal since starting his apprenticeship and was just one of the reasons he joined the Clancy team four years ago. Lee commented:
“I moved companies to get Chartered and I felt that Clancy were the company that could help me do that. The support I have received from Greg and the whole team has been amazing.”
We have supported Lee financially and with flexibility to suit study requirements, including time away from work to attend exam preparation courses.
Lee is now preparing for his upcoming interview, which is the final stage of Chartership. This involves compiling an initial professional development portfolio, work based evidence to demonstrate working at the level of a Chartered Engineer. Some exciting projects Lee has been involved with include Dell House and Norwich City Academy!
We wish Lee the best of luck with the final stages of Chartership!
