With many years experience of working with local authorities and private organisations we are among the leading advisors offering design expertise on a full scope of education projects ranging in size and complexity from very large new build schools to schemes involving refurbishment, repair or small extensions.
Schools, Academies, Colleges & Universities
We provide education facilities for all levels to help enrich the education sector. We have a real understanding of the constraints involved when working in this sector, from the need to maintain educational activities in a safe environment while essential works are carried out, to achieving completion of projects within budgetary and programme restraints, to helping in the delivery of innovative teaching methods.
We have many established partnering and framework agreements and have participated in various sector specific procurement routes, including the delivery of the Building Schools for the Future programme.
Delivering a greener future
We consider corporate social responsibility to be a very important aspect of our work. To demonstrate this we undertake a number of activities with education facilities within the local community, together with some of the education facilities that we have delivered worked for.
We also contribute to a greener future through our BREEAM for Schools accreditation.
Education future engineers
We are commited to the continued development of the industy and have been involved in a number of national schemes and programmes to promote engineering. For example, at Great Sankey High School 6th Form Centre, as part of our continued commitment to the project and our commitment to the promotion of the industry and STEM subjects we delivered presentations to the 6th form students on the design principles adopted and how this benefited their school.
We regularly take school placements for children under the age of 16, as well as apprentices and undergraduate students seeking work experience.
Our HR manager also attends regular “Enterprise Challenge” days at local schools.
Most recently, one of our structural engineers attended a local primary school, where a number of our staff have children attending, to discuss with Y4 pupils ‘what is structural engineering”.
