Jane is a Main Board Director based in the Manchester office and leads the HR function across all the offices in the UK.
Jane joined the company in 2002 to establish the HR function. She has a passion for bringing the best out of people. Those who come to work and enjoy it are more productive and likely to stay for longer. We spend a lot of time at work in terms of hours per week and years of our life. The more we enjoy our work the more fulfilled we feel. One size does not fit all, so its about knowing the individuals and their needs so we can press the right buttons.
Jane attended Salford College of Technology where she gained her Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) now known as Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She became Chartered in 2005. She started her HR career at a large retail chemist for 10 years followed by 3 years at a local Solicitors before joining Clancy’s. She has since become a qualified Counsellor and Hypnotherapist to add to her skills in helping people achieve their actualisation.
Professionally, Jane has created an environment of work life balance. Everyday lives are full of challenges and the more we can embrace those challenges into and around our working hours rather than fighting against them, the easier they become. We work with dedicated professionals who are passionate about what they do. If you empower them to find a solution that works for both parties, they will. When people join a company they want to become as best they can at the job they have chosen or are qualified to do. The HR function is there to influence that to happen.
Away from work Jane enjoys spending time with her two sons and socialising with her friends. She enjoys chatting and laughing, both she says are very therapeutic.
